Malaya Burner was presented by Michael Balcos in Bluepoint's Software Freedom Day (SFD) 2011 celebration at the National Computer Center (NCC). It is a low cost alternative to the Freedom Toaster. For more information about the Malaya Burner, please see the Projects section of this website.
Lakbay-1, an experimental mobile robot project, was presented again by Michael Balcos, under Malaya Digital, to some students at the Science and Technology Institute (STI), Cubao. For information on Lakbay-1, please see the Projects section of this website. STI's first two schools were inaugurated in August 21, 1983. It offered basic programming courses then. Now, it offers basic (pre-elementary, primary and secondary) and tertiary education.
Lakbay-1, was presented by Michael Balcos in Bluepoint's Software Freedom Day (SFD) 2008 celebration at the National Computer Center. It was also covered by Net25's Convergence TV program. For information on Lakbay-1, please see the Projects section of this website. SFD is an annual and worldwide effort for the advocacy of Free/Open Source Software (FOSS). Bluepoint celebrates this event with free seminars on FOSS related subjects.
